Size: 85,000 sq. ft.
Year Completed: 1990
We constructed the Aquatic Center, which was designed to exceed Olympic standards, on the East Bank of the University of Minnesota. It has become known as a world class facility housing a 50 meter competition pool with a moveable bulkhead. It also houses a separate diving well with two diving boards and four diving platforms.
Fans can watch the action from one of the 1,346 permanent seats and overflow can be accommodated with space for 1,200 people in temporary bleachers. Large skylights covering the majority of the ceiling allow in abundant natural light.
